Opera lovers meet every third Sunday of the month at Griffith University School of Engineering lecture theatre, conveniently located at the  Engineering Drive tram stop; just a short walk to the theatre. Following a concise, but informative introduction by a chief programmer, state-of-the-art equipment is used to project high standard operas onto a large, cinema sized screen. The quality DVDs used are sourced from throughout the world and present what are considered to be the greatest singers and performances. Cost is $7 per performance for members and $9 for visitors. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided during a short mid-afternoon interval.
